Newcastle United should have a new owner within weeks, according to reports emanating from Sky Sports News today.
The Magpies’ current owner, Mike Ashley, issued a further apology for his performance whilst the club has been in his hands and confirmed that he would be offering the club for a knockdown price of £100 million.
In other news, reports from Spain are suggesting that the protracted move of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United to Real Madrid is near completion. The money involved is suggested to be upwards of €96 million, a total that would dwarf the €67.2 million paid for Kaka.
