Chelsea’s Away Kit – As Bad As Any Newcastle Jersey

15 07 2010

Well, we discussed how bad ass Chelsea’s new home kit (seen to the right) is a while back.  The red pop in the collar, and the Batman-tight fit will be flying around the Bridge and scoring goals like never before.

Our away kit, which was just released, is the complete opposite.  Black and orange? Are you kidding me?  Are Chelsea going to be playing in AYSO this season?  I hate, hate black as a jersey color.  It’s meant to look tough, but it just looks dumb instead.  And orange?  Where exactly is that coming from – are we trying to recruit Wesley Sneijder or something?  Hopefully the third kit will be a step up from this.  Last years 3rd kit was f***ing sweet – (hint for any Thugs looking for a last minute Christmas gift for Markie).

Hull City here we come!

World Cup – Nike Video

I’m assuming you’ve seen this, or at least want to.  I am pumped for World Cup!!

In Fashionable Style

9 05 2010

Chelsea won the Barclay’s Premier League in strong fashion today, with an 8-0 drubbing against Wigan.  What else did we accomplish?

  1. Record 103 goals scored in the campaign – 17 better than Man U
  2. Drogba wins the Golden Boot over Rooney with 29 goals on the season, thanks to a hat-trick today (would definitely have been better without the sulking Drogs)
  3. Cech and the back line kept 17 clean sheets this season, for the “Golden Glove”.
  4. 4 times this season that the club has gone for 7 or more goals… and the third time in the last 2 months!

Way to go Blues… thanks for the memorable first season of fandom.  Many more to come.

And a huge thanks to Sean and Jacob who introduced me to the EPL and are now wishing they hadn’t.  You guys are the best… I love the Thugs.

Chelsea’s New Kit

Or as I affectionately call it… “What we will be wearing when we beat you next year!”

Who’s Influential?

29 04 2010

Didier Drogba, that’s who!  Check it out beeyatches… the Ivorian is on the cover of Time Magazine.  Not a great honor, since Time is a shit magazine… but still its something notable.  Quick… name a Newcastle United player that’s been on a magazine?  Wait… I can’t even NAME a player on Newcastle United.

Clue: He's wearing yellow!

Aston Villa Changes Ownership

10 04 2010

Breaking News!!!  Aston Villa has had a change in the owners box, which now belongs to… Chelsea.  After a 3-0 victory at Wembley Stadium to advance to the FA Cup Finals it is clear that Chelsea FC is in charge against the Villains.  Aggregate score for the last 2 weeks?  10-1 Chelsea.

If we don’t own them, I don’t know who does.

Jesus Was Raised, But Not the Lineman’s Flag!

3 04 2010

While we folk who embrace the meaning behind Easter celebrate the raising of our Lord this Sunday in defeat of The Devil, many of us are also inclined to celebrate the non-raising of the flag at Old Trafford for Didier Drogba’s offside goal score to defeat The Red Devils.

Chelsea took down the Mighty Man U for the 3rd time this season (wowie kazowie!) 2-1, to go top of table with a two point lead over the Rooney-less Reds.  Not only that, but Dave (soon to be Arsenal correspondent for the Thugs) gave me a Chelsea jersey from a couple seasons ago as a sacrifice to be let into the group.  Thank you Dave… I look awesome in it.  But how can you not in a Chelsea jersey!

Just imagine a 6'2" chiseled Adonis in this, and you'll get the mental picture of what I look like

Just imagine a 6'2" chiseled Adonis wearing this and you will get the mental picture of what I look like

5 games left… let’s do this Blues!!!

Good News, Bad News pt. 2

27 02 2010

Oh wait, there’s only bad news.  Chelsea loses at home (which we don’t do) 2-4 to Man City.  Cech is injured from our Champions League match against Inter Milan and is out for a month, and our backup tender can’t keep a one-year old from crawling past him.  Michael Essien and Ashley Cole are still out.  John Terry is playing like a man who can’t concentrate because of something going on in the news… not quite sure what that may be.

All in all, Chelsea is hanging on by a prayer to the thought of pulling out the title.

AB the Giant, R.I.P.

6 02 2010

Dear Thugs fans, it appears that our dear Andy (or AB the Giant as he is affectionately known) must have contracted the dreaded swine flu and died alone in his glorious two-bedroom Stanton Manor.  We will all miss AB and his humorous (and popular) video smack talks.  AB was a die-hard Aston Villa snob fan, and rooted for them dearly as they fought it out around 4th place.  But as the Villains have won only one of their last five matches and fallen to 7th place he has grown suddenly, and sadly, quiet.

We hope to hear news of him actually being alive and well… but until that time, we must assume the worst.  Let’s hope he went out talking smack to St. Peter.

Rest in peace... our huge, beastly, giant, bald friend!

Fox Soccer Plus

13 01 2010

New network to air more soccer… most importantly, more Barclay’s English Premier League.  Can only be a good thing, and in HD.  Let’s just hope Verizon FIOS carries it.

On a separate note.  I still hate FSC new website. MSN you blow.
